Refund & Cancellation Policy

1 Booking Cancellation Before Vehicle Placement

Customers may request cancellation of a transportation booking before the vehicle has been placed for loading.

• A freight refund may be considered for eligible cancellations.
• Actual expenses already incurred by MDTC may be deducted from the refundable amount.
• Refund eligibility may depend upon the terms agreed at the time of booking.

2 Cancellation After Vehicle Placement

If a vehicle has already been placed for loading, the freight amount may become non-refundable.

• Vehicle placement expenses may be charged.
• Detention charges may apply where applicable.
• Other operational expenses already incurred may be recovered.

3 Cancellation After Loading & LR Generation

Once the goods have been loaded and the LR (Lorry Receipt) has been generated, the freight amount shall generally be treated as non-refundable.

Exceptions may be considered where MDTC is responsible for failure to provide the agreed transportation service.

4 Transit Delay

A delay during transportation does not automatically qualify the customer for a full freight refund.

• Traffic restrictions
• Weather conditions
• Government restrictions
• Depot loading or unloading delays
• Consignee non-availability
• Documentation or e-way bill issues
• Road conditions
• Force majeure circumstances

Delays caused by circumstances beyond the reasonable control of MDTC shall generally not qualify for a freight refund.

5 Loss or Damage of Goods

Claims relating to loss or damage of goods shall be handled according to the applicable transportation terms, consignment documentation, declared value, and applicable laws and regulations.

Customers should notify MDTC of any loss or damage as soon as reasonably possible and provide the required supporting documents.

6 Goods Not Transported

If a consignment is booked but is subsequently not transported, applicable documentation and statutory requirements shall be followed.

Where applicable, e-way bill cancellation or other required compliance shall be handled within the prescribed period.

7 GST & Tax Adjustments

Any refund relating to a tax invoice shall be processed in accordance with applicable GST and taxation requirements.

Commercial freight refunds and statutory tax refunds may be subject to separate procedures.
